Overview:

Our agency connected with a UK-based couple to develop an app in the baby development and tracking category. The app was to be an all-in-one scheduling resource for new parents, making it simple to track all of their child's important information for doctors and caregivers. The app would allow users to track feeds, nappy changes, and sleep schedules with reminders to log, and would also include a resource section with useful information, tips, and resources for parents and caregivers.

Scope of Work:

The project scope included full UX/UI designs for the app and a high fidelity prototype, as well as development using the React Native framework. The app was to be a hybrid app, deployed on both iOS and Android from one codebase.

Project Process:

The project began with an extensive research phase, in which we looked into the market and the needs of new parents. The client also conducted paid surveys and gathered other useful data on the desired feature set for the app.

Based on this research, we designed and built the app from scratch, starting with the full UX/UI designs and a high fidelity prototype. We used the React Native framework to develop the app, and chose to create a hybrid app that could be deployed on both iOS and Android from one codebase.

The clients, a first-time founding couple, were heavily involved in the development process and provided valuable insights and feedback throughout.

Outcome:

The app is currently undergoing an extensive testing process in preparation for a strong early Q1 launch in 2023. The couple is confident that the app will be a valuable resource for new parents, and our agency is proud to have played a part in bringing their vision to fruition.
