Introduction:

Our agency was approached by a client based in Atlanta, Georgia to develop a mobile car wash app in the lifestyle category. The app is a 2-sided marketplace connecting clients with car washing service professionals, providing mobile car wash services to clients and giving professionals the opportunity to earn on their own schedule by offering their services through the app.

The client had previously developed the app and launched it, but there were a few key flaws with the product that eventually led to the project being closed. After a consultation with our team, the client was inspired to work on the project again and approached us for help.

Process:

We began with detailed brainstorming sessions with the client to identify the ideal target client base for the app. The client's on-the-field experience as a car washing service professional provided crucial insights into the development of the product.

Next, we moved on to the UX/UI design using Figma, creating high-fidelity clickable prototypes that were then handed over to the front-end developers.

For the app development, we used React Native and AWS for the backend. To manage all aspects of the business, we also developed an admin panel for the client, which allows them to perform tasks such as verifying, adding, and removing users; adding, modifying, and removing services and add-on services; and managing payouts.

As this was a hybrid app, it was developed to be deployed on both iOS and Android from a single codebase.

Conclusion:

The mobile car wash app is in the final testing phase and is set to launch in early 2023. The client is excited to bring this app to market and provide a convenient service for clients and a flexible earning opportunity for service professionals. The combination of the client's industry expertise and our team's app development skills has resulted in a promising product that we look forward to launching in the near future.
